Spring in the Lakes Region is accompanied by kitchen and bathroom remodel season. In a few weeks, it will be time to build decks and porches. However, before we move outdoors, here is design inspiration from our recent Samoset Condo Bathroom Remodel.
Samoset
Samoset Condominiums in Gilford, New Hampshire, is home to 130 townhomes. Each floorplan is unique.
For instance, this home has a half bath just off the main entrance. Additionally, there is a bathroom sink and vanity inside the master bedroom with an adjoining room containing the shower and toilet.
The Story
The homeowners are nearing retirement. A seasonal home is now a permanent, full-time residence. The family has been saving for years to renovate the townhome before fully retiring.
The Designer
Lighthouse Contracting Group brought in Stephanie Wentworth of Decorative Interiors to assist with the bathroom décor. Her interior designs gave the homeowners a timeless, traditional look they will enjoy for years to come.
Half Bath Design
The powder room is small with minimal natural light and an angled ceiling. To make the space appear bigger, Stephanie chose a large, patterned floor tile. The Kenzzi Indigo Porcelain tiles are blue in color and have a hand painted look.
When designing a small space, too many patterns and colors can work against you. Stephanie chose a solid color blue cabinet for the vanity with a white quartz countertop. A simple addition to the space that complimented the floor tile.
Master Bath Design
For those of you that have a separate sink and vanity in your master bedroom, designing your space can be difficult. This condo has canned lights in the ceiling and no immediate natural light by the vanity.
We installed a frameless mirror with LED lights. This mirror is beautiful to look at from the bedroom and helps with the poor lighting. The quartz countertop is an elegant feature with its subtle sparkle from the lights above.
To the right of the vanity is the bathroom, housing the tile shower and toilet. The floor features a pebble stone tile by Island Stone. Just looking at it makes us want to take our shoes off!
To save space, we installed a frameless sliding shower door. It gives the bathroom a modern, sleek look.
