LEAD CARPENTER
Lighthouse Contracting Group is an award-winning, design-build/general contracting company. We offer residential remodeling, primarily large scale lakefront remodels.
Our lead carpenters are essential to the production team. They lead and supervise all field carpenters and subcontractors involved in our construction projects. They ensure that these projects are on budget and completed within a specified amount of time.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform all carpentry duties required. Including, rough and finish carpentry.
- Order materials as needed, working within the budget provided.
- Create and adjust the project schedule in Buildertrend.
- Manage day to day trade partner scheduling and field oversight.
- Work closely with the pre-construction and project management team to identify and solve problems.
- Direct field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule.
- Ensure project is completed on schedule, within budget and with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
- Coordinate and supervise with team members, independent subcontractors and the interior designer.
- Maintain all project records, including daily logs in Buildertrend and Google Drive.
- Approve time cards for all employees in Buildertrend.
- Participate in and prepare for weekly on-site meetings with clients.
- Report weekly to the Production Manager on project progress, customer concerns, problems, delays, etc..
- Ensure the image of the company is supported by the appearance and activities of the installation teams and job sites.
- Ensure proper signage is posted and safety requirements are met.
REQUIREMENTS
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation capable of hauling a small trailer.
- 5+ years experience as a lead carpenter, foreman or project manager. Other related management experience may be considered.
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Ability to read and understand architectural plan sets are preferred.
- Technical understanding of residential construction. Including, building codes, trade sequencing and best building practices.
- Must be comfortable with technology and mobile applications.
- Detail oriented with customer service skills.
- Strong time management, leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve in an independent manner.
- No smoking on the job.

JOB LOCATION + SCHEDULE
- 15 mile radius of office in Gilford, NH.
- Official workday is 7:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
SIGN ON BONUS, PAY, BENEFITS & PERKS
- $2,500 sign on bonus. (50% paid after 30 working days/50% after 90 working days)
- Hourly pay commensurate with experience. $30.00 – $35.00/per hour. Bi-weekly pay period.

SKILLED CARPENTER
We are currently seeking a highly skilled carpenter with a diverse skill set. A successful applicant should be hardworking, reliable, and have good communication and organizational skills. You must have completed an apprenticeship in carpentry or have equivalent experience in the field.
As a large scale remodeling company our projects vary in scope and size. Duties would include but not be limited to demo, deck building, installation of windows, flooring, cabinetry, interior finishes, and light framing.
In this role you will work directly under the supervision of a lead carpenter and assist on our remodeling projects using your variety of skills and team player mindset while conforming to local building codes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting lead carpenters.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to understand project specifications.
- Conduct repair work and installation of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs, and other fixtures as required.
- Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials. Inspect products and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed.
- Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Comply with all company and governmental safety guidelines.
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and clean work area.
- Report to lead carpenter with any questions or concerns.
- Communicating in a professional manner to anyone on a jobsite.
REQUIREMENTS
- Completion of an apprenticeship or a minimum of 2 consistent years of experience as a journey-level carpenter.
- Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction.
- Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment.
- Proficient in using power and hand tools as well as measurement tools.
- Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating well with co-workers.
- Motivated and self disciplined.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity.
- Knowledge of drainage and flashing techniques.
JOB LOCATION + SCHEDULE
- 15 mile radius of office in Gilford, NH.
- Official workday is 7:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
