At Lighthouse Contracting Group (LCG), we believe our team members are as important as the business itself. Each member brings a unique set of ideas, talents and personality that combined make LCG one of the best contracting businesses in the Lakes Region. This week, we will start our team introductions with our youngest member, Jason Chilvers.
About Jason
Jason is a graduate of Gilford High School. He met Jeremy Doucet, the owner of LCG, during the Huot Technical Center’s Third Tiny House project. As part of the Lakes Region Builders & Remodelers Association, Jeremy worked alongside students, including Jason, from six local high schools. Together they built a 192 square-foot house featuring plumbing, heating, cabinets, electricity and all the functions of a single-family home.
Jason’s positive attitude and work ethic make him an integral part of the team. He is currently a Journeyman Carpenter with LCG. He wants to continue working in finish carpentry and remodeling.

During Jason’s apprenticeship, he assisted with framing a house, remodeling a bathroom, and installing wood floors and trim around doors and windows. He has also learned how to prepare building materials.
LCG Opportunities
We are excited to offer Jason the opportunity to attend his first trade show this January: The International Builder Show (IBS) and The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Vegas. This is the largest trade show of its kind in the nation. At the age of 17, Jason just might be one of its youngest attendees!
Jason will also be attending JLC LIVE New England in March of 2020. There he will network with exhibiting companies, attend conference sessions and learn from building clinics. During these educational courses, he will learn building performance, kitchen and bath trends, materials, techniques and wood properties in finish carpentry.

If you meet Jason here are a few things he would like you to know. He calls Gilmanton, New Hampshire, his home. He is Canadian and has dual citizenship. His brother currently attends college in Canada.
The LCG team wouldn’t be the same without Jason and we are excited to prepare him for a future in home remodeling.
