To ensure the family could still function during the project, we set up a temporary kitchen, allowing them to cook and dine comfortably while their new kitchen remodel was underway.

By replacing the old bay window with a sleek picture window, we created space for a countertop to extend beneath it. The result? Extra counter space for meal prep and a better view, all while maintaining the kitchen’s natural light.

Wall Adjustments

A small but impactful change—extending the wall by the family room by about a foot allowed for a smoother cabinet layout. On the opposite side, we reduced the wall thickness behind the fridge so it no longer stuck out beyond the cabinetry. This small change made a significant impact on the overall design and flow of the kitchen remodel.

Expanding the Pantry

The existing pantry was opened up, creating a new home for the refrigerator. By relocating the fridge to where the old pantry once stood, we were able to free up even more space for additional storage throughout the kitchen and island. This thoughtful reconfiguration ensured the family has plenty of room to organize everything from groceries to kitchen gadgets, maximizing the efficiency of the entire space.

Flooring Refinish

We patched and sanded the red oak flooring, seamlessly blending new patches from layout changes to match the original flooring. The fresh finish extended throughout the kitchen, making the space feel brand new while keeping the charm of the original hardwood intact.
