Our Lighthouse Contracting Group team introduction this week is our Lead Carpenter, Bill Wood. Once you have met with our sales and design team, Bill will be your main point of contact for the entirety of your home remodel project. Bill’s Background

Bill comes from a long line of carpenters and remodeling comes natural to him. His grandfather was a skilled cabinetmaker and his father, a local contractor. Bill started his apprenticeship in carpentry while still in grade school. Working side by side with his father, he learned all facets of remodeling. He joined Lighthouse Contracting Group (LCG) with 16 years of experience under his tool belt.

Bill joined the LCG team in 2018. He showed initiative and an interest in further learning and developing systems and procedures. He attended lead carpenter training the summer of 2019. A few months later, he began managing the day to day operations of our projects.

Favorite LCG Project

The Refuge is Bill’s favorite Lighthouse Contracting Group remodel project. He felt the level of craftsmanship expected from the Parade of Homes entry, inspired him to push his carpentry skills to the next level. He also enjoyed the opportunity to plan, design and install the trim packages for the interior and exterior of the lake house.

Coffee Talk

If you were to sit down for a cup of coffee with Bill, he would bring the coffee pot and make it for you. If you are lucky, he might even bring a choice cut of steak, grill it and serve you lunch. As an easy-going communicator, he would comfortably share the details of his life with you.
